I’m Gonna Put My Name On Your Door is Snorri Helgason’s debut solo album. Snorri is a 25-year-old Icelandic musician from Reykjavík known locally as the main songwriter, singer ang guitarist for the indie-pop band Sprengjuhöllin.
On I’m Gonna Put My Name On Your Door Snorri explores the folkier and bluesier sides of his songwriting without abandoning the pop hooks and melodies of his work with Sprengjuhöllin. Soulful vocals and stripped down arangements and instrumentation make up the basic core of the album.
The album is produced by Kristinn Gunnar Blöndal (a.k.a. Bob Justman, a.k.a. KGB) and Styrmir Hauksson in the summer and fall of 2009 with the help of some of Reykjavík’s finest popsters, including Birgir Ísleifur Gunnarson (Motion Boys) and Sigurður T. Guðmundsson(Sprengjuhöllin).
